Workspace settings

A tour of every settings area in Workspace Canvas — what each one is for and when you'll actually need it.

Updated Jul 5, 2026

Workspace settings is a full-screen overlay reachable from the sidebar footer or with Cmd/Ctrl+, from anywhere in the app. It's split into areas by concern; this article covers each one at a glance so you know where to look when something needs changing.

General

The name and icon of the workspace, the default landing page for new members, appearance (light/dark/system), the start day of the week, and language. This is the area most workspaces set up once and never revisit — but it's also where you'll rename the workspace if your company or project changes name.

People

Members, guests, and pending invites. Invite by email, assign a workspace role (Owner, Admin, Member, Guest), and remove people who've left. Guests get access only to specific pages you share with them; they don't count toward your member seat total.

Teamspaces

Create new teamspaces, archive old ones, and configure which teamspaces new members join by default. Each teamspace has its own owner, its own default access level (open / closed / private), and its own permission scheme.

Security

Login methods (email, Google, SAML SSO), session duration, SCIM provisioning tokens, and domain verification. If your organisation has security or compliance requirements, this is the area your admin will spend the most time in.

Billing

Your current plan, seats, monthly or yearly billing cycle, invoices, and payment method. Upgrades take effect immediately; downgrades take effect at the end of the current billing period. Enterprise plans are managed through your account executive rather than this screen.

Who can change what
Only Owners and Admins see the People, Security, and Billing tabs. Members see General and the teamspaces they belong to. Guests don't see settings at all.
