Privacy Policy

1. Introduction

This Privacy Policy describes how Workspace Canvas ("we", "us", "our") collects, uses, and shares information when you use our website, desktop and mobile apps, browser extensions, and related services (collectively, the "Service"). This page is maintained by Workspace Canvas to answer common privacy questions about the Service.

2. Information we collect

  • Account information — name, email address, password, workspace name, and profile details you provide.
  • Content you create — pages, blocks, databases, comments, files, tasks, calendar events, and other content you store in the Service.
  • Connected services — when you connect third‑party services (Google, Microsoft, Meta, Slack, GitHub, etc.), we receive tokens and the data you authorize us to access.
  • Usage data — device, browser, IP address, pages visited, and product interactions used to operate and improve the Service.
  • Support communications — messages you send us and their contents.

3. How we use information

  • Provide, maintain, and improve the Service.
  • Authenticate you and secure your workspace.
  • Sync content with the third‑party services you connect.
  • Send transactional emails (billing, security alerts, product notices).
  • Provide customer support and respond to your requests.
  • Detect, prevent, and address fraud, abuse, and security incidents.
  • Comply with legal obligations.

4. How we share information

We do not sell your personal information. We share information only with:

  • Other workspace members — content you place in a shared workspace is visible to members of that workspace.
  • Third‑party services you connect — only the data required for the integration you enabled.
  • Service providers — infrastructure, analytics, and email vendors acting on our behalf under a written agreement.
  • Legal and safety — when required by law, to enforce our terms, or to protect the rights, property, or safety of users.
  • Business transfers — in connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, subject to this Policy.

5. Meta / Facebook integration

When you connect a Meta (Facebook / Instagram) account, we request only the permissions needed to display and manage the ads, pages, and insights you choose to sync. We store access tokens encrypted at rest and never share Meta data with third parties for advertising or resale. You can revoke access at any time from your Meta account settings or from the Connections page inside Workspace Canvas.

6. Cookies and analytics

We use essential cookies to keep you signed in and non‑essential cookies for product analytics. You can manage non‑essential cookies from the "Cookie settings" link in our footer.

7. Data retention

We retain your information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the Service. When you delete your account, we delete or de‑identify your personal information within 30 days, except where longer retention is required by law or for legitimate business purposes (e.g., financial records).

8. Security

We use industry‑standard technical and organizational safeguards, including encryption in transit (TLS), encryption of sensitive tokens at rest, role‑based access controls, and audit logging. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure; we cannot guarantee absolute security.

9. Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to:

  • Access, correct, or delete your personal information.
  • Object to or restrict certain processing.
  • Port your data to another service.
  • Withdraw consent where processing is based on consent.

To exercise these rights, email us at privacy@get-workspace.com or use the Data Deletion page.

10. Children's privacy

The Service is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them.

11. Changes to this Policy

We will post any changes on this page and update the "Last updated" date. Material changes will also be communicated by email or in‑product notice.
